#1: Mikage Kuroyama
The reason he is such a loser comes from his otaku father, who has yet to grow up. While they had a tight bond in their earlier years, lots of kids in his teen years back away because of his weirdo father and sister. This means he has a complete and utter lack of social experience, leading to many awkward and humorous moments.

#2: Aoi Tamashii
A happy-go-lucky girl that seems more likely to be the pink sentai ranger because of how often she smiles. The childhood sweetheart of Mikage, she's his only form or social interaction that doesn't result in his humiliation. However, Aoi is SO happy-go-lucky that she seems even more bizarre than Mikage's father and sister, like she's permanently high or something.

#3: Tsubasa Kageyama
She is a Tsundere because she has a reputation to maintain. She is EXTREMELY popular, and while those who hang with her have no animosity towards Mikage, they back away from him like everybody else. This is a problem because she has a crush on him (something about his nervousness...), and she doesn't know how to approach him and tell him how she feels without making herself look like a weirdo.

#4: John Darren
A foreign exchange student that takes his studies VERY seriously. To the point where he despises goofballs that interrupt his work or distract him. Remove the tension of schoolwork, and he becomes quite friendly.

#5: Shinji Tsurugi
A faithful friend to Mikage, he is very serious with his studies without taking it overboard like John does. He's often a study-buddy and source of advice for Mikage, though he often has issues of his own like his unhealthy addiction to MMORPGs. He has yet to get used to daylight...

#6: Max Langley
Another foreign exchange student who thought of the program as his only chance to visit Akihabara. Though very passionate about his various fandoms, he often keeps it to himself unless asked.

#7: Haruka Nagane
Raised in the remote areas of Osaka, she firmly believes that she isn't ready to interact with others and chooses to isolate herself. Mikage's social dilemma doesn't alleviate her suspicion. However, she came to the city for a reason, to study and improve her skills. Once her schooling is complete, she can finally be an engineer and put her robotic assistants into production.
(Yes, I'm predictable.)

#8: Midori Kuroyama
A BLAZING and proud otaku, she constantly quotes her favorite shows and cosplays whenever she can. She deviously uses Mikage's embarrassment against him, though it's usually for petty things like chocolate treats or candy.

#9: Hiro Kageyama
Naive but outspoken, Hiro thinks that Tsubasa should just ask Mikage to a date outright, and constantly pesters her to do so. He often hangs out with Midori, and the two of them conspire against the yet-to-be couple. Extreme shenanigans to follow.

Nice characters. Though each one for under a specific archetype, it won't be a problem if said character become more fleshed out.

#4 is definitely the loner-punk who ends up helping #1 because he feels like it or something. Definitely the tsundere type.

#9 could be a genius of some sort X) This is really good! and I think #1 is just plain adorable! Is this a story your making up?
